Why is the SunNight solar flashlight better then a regular flashlight? There are a number of reasons - for example, our sun powered flashlight has an enormous economic advantage over single use battery flashlights. Our rechargeable batteries last for 750 to 1000 individual nights of use, with each night a user enjoying on average six to eight hours of use. Compare this to a single use battery flashlight, with a maximum of fifteen hours of ever diminishing light prior to the batteries being thrown away and replaced. Our solar flashlights are always ready when needed. We use light emitting diodes, commonly called LEDs. LEDs last for an average of 100,000 hours. There is a huge difference (solar rechargeable vice single use) in sustainability and the conservation of our planet's natural resources. Our solar flashlights do not require battery replacement until after more than two years of steady use, therefore, less batteries are consumed and less of the planet's scarce metal resources - nickel, cadmium, lithium, etc, are expended.
